Portraits, Emotional Images, from 1993 to 2015
Serge Tisseron’s book, Le Mystere de la Chambre Claire responds to some questions regarding the relation with people throughout their portraits. We all know how useful images are to assimilate sensations and emotions.
When taking a close portrait photograph, we hope to fix the image of the affective encountering with the other person. The photographer’s look is influenced by his own complex psyche. Portrait photograph becomes an instrument for personal reflection on the human being and his/hers feelings.
We meet people constantly. Some times these encounters are short; we do not have enough time to reflect on them. Chance and unknown laws determine the duration and intensity of these encounters. I accomplished this work to have the chance to observe, think and give time to feelings. It is also my personal photographic album.
