Love and Trees, from 1997 to 2006
This work is based on the emotion and sensations that arise from an attitude of immersion in the landscape, and abandonment in the arms of reality. It is the result of personal experiences and careful observation. In this way photography and poetry combine with feelings, and the perception of time and nature.
A desire to fuse with the natural unity gives place to a loving feeling towards all its creatures embodied here in the figure of the tree. We feel attracted by nature in the same way a sea drop does, because we share the essence of “all”.
The work is presented in three parts: Wings and Branches, Your Body and Mine, and The Submerged Sap. I make reference to three main aspects of the tree: Its most visible part, high and elevated; the part of its body closest to us; and its invisible aspects where nature’s mysteries lie.
